With 304 beds, the Rappenseehütte is the largest of all mountain huts of the German Alpine Club. Especially on summer weekends it can get crowded up here. But that is no wonder, because the hut is located in beautiful scenery and some of the most beautiful summits in Allgäu are within reach. A special highlight is of course the Heilbronner Weg, the high-alpine transition to the neighboring Kemptner Hütte.
If you want to spend the night at the Rappenseehütte, it is best to reserve a sleeping space in advance.

The Rappenseehütte lies in 2091m height.
As early as 1885, the first hut was built here, which was gradually expanded. Today, the Rappenseehütte is one of the largest huts of the German Alpine Club.
The views of the Hohe Licht (2651 m) and the Bieberkopf (2599 m) are great and a detour to the small and large Rappensee worth it all.
