    The "Großenhainer Baseline" of the Royal Saxon Triangulation consists of 3 1st order stations and was the triangular basis for the triangulation as a geodetic measuring method. The two ends of the base were measured by hand with the Bessel measuring device and served as a triagulation basis for the bearing on the measuring point Collm and Keulenberg. This measurement determined the scale of the entire triangulation network.
    The Raschütz base end is a technical monument very well preserved and easily accessible for hikers and cyclists. Information boards offer the opportunity to find out more about this technical masterpiece of our forefathers.
