Worth stopping here just to see the old CTC winged wheels placard on the outside of the building i.e. a 1800s precursor to the AA * rating and awards system for good inns and hotels.

The pub has a great bar stocked with some fine ales and a nice big open fire place. The garden at the front of the building, overlooking Horsted Keynes village centre, is very pleasant on a sunny day.

Cycling

I had the ham ploughmans. Bread was a bit naff, but there was plenty to eat and the ham and extras were nice. Can get busy but on this occasion it wasn't.
