The Heideteich was created as a water reservoir for mining purposes around 1600 and used by the nearby Hochsruth colliery in the 18th century. Today, hikers enjoy a short rest at this beautiful spot. Bathing is forbidden. Fishing enthusiasts have the opportunity to pursue their hobby here with permission.

This quiet forest pond was a water reservoir around 1600 for the vitriol and sulphur hut and was used in the 18th century by the "Hochmutzeche", which belonged to the mines of the Silver Mountains "Am Knochen".
