At the border to the Villeroy Forest, there is a memorial stone off the road. At this point, on October 28, 1948, Villeroy's forester Schulz was found dead. He had succumbed to heart failure at the age of 43. Source: Wolfgang Kremer - "Gisingen - our village and its history"
