Be careful when descending. Several hornet nests have settled in dead trees here. The animals seem to be aggressive.

Wonderful view, but should be run rather in dry weather, otherwise the rock could be very slippery.

Probably the most beautiful section of our hike from Vianden to the Falkenstein castle ruins. As with all hikes with a partially alpine character, sturdy shoes and a certain amount of surefootedness are absolutely recommended on this section.

Descent into the Ourtal with a beautiful view of the reservoir. Here, too, as on the entire Felsenweg, concentration and mindfulness are the order of the day. Nevertheless, this hiking trail is also feasible for children who are able to walk.

A hiking trail in a class of its own. Great view and many steps up and down. To have a stick with you would be good

Great section of the way. The steep climb was worth it for this alone. Sturdy shoes are definitely an advantage. Attention !! After the descent, there are currently several hornet nests in dead trees in the forest directly on the route. The animals seem to be quite aggressive.

The oaks used to be peeled regularly and put on the cane; their tannin-containing tan could be used to tan leather.

The Ourtal is always a guarantee for a varied hike in the delux nature trail. A grandiose, ancient low mountain range runs through the Ourtal. The Our proves to be a true master of landscape design. The rocky Grenzsteig along the Lätges mountain with magnificent views provides an almost alpine experience. After so much ups and downs, the Ourtalstausee - the lower basin of the pumped storage power plant - invites you to take a relaxing stroll with its promenade and the Ourstaden von Bivels. The ruins of Falkenstein Castle are enthroned on a mountain rock high above the Ourschleife. A few steps downriver resides the medieval town of Vianden with its rebuilt castle - one of the most important and mighty castles in Europe.
