The Theresia Chapel on the Baest Estate was founded in 1938 in gratitude for the healing of the then seriously ill seven-year-old son of the Van de Mortel-de la Court couple, the residents of the Estate. The chapel was dedicated to Saint Therese of Lisieux, who was also miraculously healed at a young age.
The small rectangular chapel is located at the beginning of Doctor Jan van de Mortellaan. Behind the wrought iron gate, in front of the semi-circular entrance, on the basalt stone floor you can see a relief with a memorial inscription.
