The Mijnspoorpad is a walking path from Heerlen via Nuth to Schinnen and vice versa. This project was developed as part of the year of Mines 2015 and is part of the Corio-Glana project.

A total of 8 mine railway banks have been placed along the aforementioned mine track path. The result of the cultural education project has been made tangible with a GIANT MINE LAMP. By means of a push button you will hear children's voices telling about the so important mining history. The energy is generated via a solar cell.
