Hiking
Stadspark Sittard is an elongated city park in Sittard. The park has a total area of approximately 18 hectares and is located in the Park Leyenbroek residential area. It is also surrounded by the former hamlets Leyenbroek and Ophoven. The construction took place between 1921 and 1933, based on a design by the landscape architect Dirk Tersteeg as a job creation project. The park was declared a national monument in 2000.
