With nature reserves and exceptionally clean, nutrient rich waters, the Exe Estuary is a diverse habitat. Birdlife abounds here and you’ll usually see many types of birds wading about the mudflats, foraging for snacks.

Lots of birds over-winter in the estuary, so you can spot these fascinating feathered creatures throughout the year. Brent geese, black-tailed godwits and avocets all call this area home. From this viewpoint, you can not only see birds, but look up the estuary to Exeter and down to the English Channel.
