One of the oldest and most powerful linden trees in Europe is in Euschertsfurth - a small village in the Lallinger Winkel.

Age about 600 years: If old traditions are correct, there was a tavernas and a linden tree in Euschertsfurth as early as 1200. However, the oldest inn in the Deggendorf district is first mentioned in documents around 1242 - so the linden tree should be at least 750 years old!
