Where else can you observe these peaceful and large cattle so closely ... here at the Höltigbaum NSG it is possible - you can get relatively close to them without disturbing them because they are used to it. However, please keep your distance and be careful. You can sometimes see goats here too.

Galloways are a dominantly polled beef cattle breed. Originally from the southwest of Scotland, they are now common all over the world. They are peaceful, frugal and resilient and, even when kept close to nature, produce a good meat performance with excellent meat quality.
