Tips
The original toponym was Alpe delle Pielle or Nuda delle Pielle, perhaps due to the fir trees that cover part of the Emilian side. Due to a mistake by the cartographers, this ancient toponym has been replaced by the current and more generic "la Nuda", which in the local dialect indicates bare ridge areas and high altitude grasslands.
