The Niedertor (Polish: Brama Nizinna) was built in the early 17th century by the fortress builder Jan Strakowski. It survived the Second World War almost unscathed and is now the only Gdańsk city gate that can be driven through.

Lowland Gate. It was established in 1626 and was one of the four gates integrated into the ring of defensive earth ramparts in Gdańsk. Each of the four gates faced a different side of the world. The Lowland Gate is currently the only one of the historic city gates through which there is still regular road traffic.
