Wilhelm Klingler, forestry intern. Filder-Bote on July 22, 1913: "On his official trip, the unmarried forest worker Klingler from the forest office in Plattenhardt was shot by two poachers, who were only 18 and 19 years old, and then killed with the butt of their rifles".

An information board at the Klinglerstein provides further details. According to it, the two poachers were caught and sentenced to long prison terms. In 1848, the lordly hunt in Schönbuch was abolished. However, long after this time, there were still clashes between poachers and forestry staff in Schönbuch.
