Here, the dense forest reveals a lush green clearing. If you're particularly quiet and patient, especially in the morning and evening, you're likely to see deer scampering across the meadow.

Larch meadow on the Spital, Bürserberg
Anyone who has ever walked through a traditionally cultivated larch meadow will surely remember the imposing trees, often standing alone or in groups. Especially in autumn, when the needles turn yellow, they are a real feast for the eyes. Through targeted forestry, larch meadows were created here, mostly at higher altitudes, which are characterized by a sparse population of large larches, between which stretches of grassland. The green areas are either mown or, more often, grazed, and are home to many plant species from poor meadows and pastures. In addition, valuable construction and firewood grows here.
