The breathtaking Sarotla Valley comes alive with the bubbling waterfalls – a sight that makes you stop and take in the views.

From the car park in Brand you walk along a road, at a signpost you turn right onto a footpath. Good footwear is highly recommended!
Small bridges and footbridges lead over the water, and there is also quite photogenic flora along the path.
About halfway there is a beautiful place with a bench and large boulders that invites you to take your first break. After that the stony path mostly leads steeply uphill and you hardly walk in the forest anymore. So when the sun is shining you can work up a sweat! My highlights are roaring waterfalls, a wonderful view towards Walgau (Dünserberg radio tower) and the surrounding mountains. Very attentive hikers may also spot the stone hand or the cairn on the way.
There are then a few bends to overcome before you finally reach your destination - the Sarotlahütte. Of course you will stop there for a break, the hut owner and staff are very friendly and the food tastes excellent! After resting, be sure to explore the area! Above the hut on a plateau there are huge rocks that you can climb up and make yourself comfortable at the top.Our hike took about 3 1/2 hours including breaks.

A small side path leads directly to the waterfall. Even when you are close, you can feel the pleasantly cool water. You can also shower right there. But be careful of the slippery stones.
