Best Hikes to Olympic Lake (Olympiasee)

Tips

  • The Olympic lake, created in the course of the park design for the 1972 Olympic Games, is more than a kilometer long, measures more than 200 meters at its widest point and is almost nine hectares in size. He is traversed by the Nymphenburg-Biedersteiner channel and supplied by him and the rainwater of the giant Olympic roofs with water. The Olympic lake is not a bathing lake, but it would be less suitable for swimming and bathing because of its small depth anyway - on average, it is only 1.3 meters. For this you can do boating, wakeboarding or even running on the water in an olympic environment, in an oversized, inflatable waterball.
Joggers and inline skaters like to use the trails around the Olympic lake for sporty laps.
