The Lintbos was built on the former Grimbergen airport. You can enjoy a lovely walk here and enjoy the beautiful view of the basilica of Grimbergen and the church of Beigem. Want to walk more? The walking connection from Basilica to Basilica, a 9 km long green connection between the basilica of Grimbergen and the Troostbasiliek in Vilvoorde, goes through the Lintbos.

The Lintbos is a forest in Grimbergen that was planted from March 2001. The area was owned by the federal government until 1989, but is now owned by the municipality of Grimbergen, which leased it to the Agency for Nature and Forests (ANB). It used to be part of Grimbergen airfield. It covers 70 ha, of which 55 ha was forested with approximately 150,000 native trees and shrubs. Two sight lines have been kept free, one from the Lintkasteel in the north to the centre of Grimbergen (with a view of the Basilica), and one from the airfield to the church of Beigem.
A play area has been provided at the entrance at Diegemput. There are also picnic tables there.
