Bike Touring Highlight
From here you have a beautiful view of the Einfelder lake.
With its area of 168 hectares, it is one of the larger lakes in Schleswig-Holstein.The lake lies on the watershed of two rivers, in the north of the Eider and in the south of the sturgeon. A small inflow passes from the canned bog into the lake, other significant inflows are missing. For this reason, the lake is mainly fed by groundwater and precipitation. A main process goes in the southeast in the Aalbek; in the north, the weir-controlled stone ditch connects the Einfelder lake with the lake of Bordesholmer, whose water can flow into the Eider.
Nature Reserve "West Bank of Einfelder See"On the western shore is the nature reserve west bank of the Einfelder lake. About 2.4 hectares were already protected in 1955, and in 1987 it was expanded to its present size of about 13 hectares. It includes three different vegetation zones: the tree and bush zone, the riparian and reed area and a floating leaf society of aquatic plants. The area provides shelter and retreat for many waterfowl.de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einfelder_See
