The Stengel Pavilion is an outstanding example of Baroque architecture and was built in the 18th century. The architect Friedrich Joachim Stengel, after whom the pavilion is named, was a prominent Baroque builder who designed many important structures in the region. Originally, the Stengel Pavilion served as a garden pavilion for the noble society and provided a place for recreation and social gatherings.
