The Church of S. Maria Succurrente in Valliano dates back to the second half of the 15th century. Contemporary is the bell tower, in excellent condition, which is one of the oldest in the province of Rimini. The first evidence of the cult in Valliano, however, dates back to the fifth century AD, a period to which the fragments of walls preserved under the terracotta floor of the '400 and partially visible and the mesa of the altar belong. , which today rests on 4 semi-columns, two of which from Roman times. the sanctuary was built on the dedication of the Lateran basilica (1465), as evidenced by a plaque still visible above the entrance door and was managed by Dominican monks. to the monks themselves, the rich fresco decoration of the apse walls is ascribable, rediscovered in 1993-94 following the restoration works promoted by don mario molari and supported by the local committee.
The statue of the madonna venerated in Valliano dates back to the 18th century: it is a "stuffed madonna" (that is a sort of rag doll with only some parts in painted wood), placed inside a wooden canopy painted in blue and gold. the sanctuary suffered serious damage during the Second World War, since it was located on the Gothic line: the roof was rebuilt following the bombing and the walls raised by about 1.20 m, an intervention that is easily noticed from the outside. The old rectory was restored in the early 2000s and today houses the ethnographic museum that tells the life of the peasant civilization, which still lives in the Rimini countryside!
