The Barth-Park is a small garden next to the villa of the Müller family Barth.

He was the son of the merchant and royal Bavarian councilor of commerce Johann Friedrich Barth, the founder of the Johann Friedrich Barthschen Familienstiftung, which still exists today under the name J. F. Barth'sche Stiftung and is administered by the town of Lauf an der Pegnitz.[2]

After graduating from secondary school, Georg Barth studied at the Technical University of Munich and at the University of Rostock. In 1900 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD. He joined the family business, became the owner of an art mill and presented numerous publications in the field of brewing technology. He was also a contributor to the Technical Handbook edited by Professor Lafar.

Georg Barth was a member of the supervisory boards of various breweries, for example deputy chairman of the supervisory board of Hofbrauhaus Wolters and Balhorn A.-G. to Brunswick. He was also the executive executor of the J. F. Barth Family Foundation.

The building complex of his art mill also included his house, which was originally a baroque building from 1781 and was extensively redesigned by him in 1912 in the neo-baroque style. This included a large garden and garden pavilion and the adjoining art mill building to the west, which has since been replaced by a new building.

Stylish gardens with a small, neo-baroque pavilion directly on the Pegnitz River. Open during the warmer months and free to enter.
