The Sandhorster Mühle can be reached directly from the Ostfrieslandwanderweg. There is a "gate" on the Ostfrieslandwanderweg as an indication (see photo).

The Sandhorster Mühle is a two-story Dutch gallery. This was built in 1905/06 and was used commercially until 1968.
In 1972 the canopy and wings were destroyed in a strong storm. Renovation took place between 1988 and 1991. The masonry, the flap, the gallery, the wing/gear parts and the thatched roof were renewed. The height of the mill up to the ridge is 19 meters. The gallery is 7 meters high.
