The Feistritzer reservoir is the backwater of the Drau through the Feistritz-Ludmannsdorf power plant. The reservoir extends from the town of Feistritz im Rosental to Sankt Jakob im Rosental.

The reservoir is 8 kilometers long and forms several bays and harbor basins. Some sections of the north bank can only be reached by boat. The fish population includes most of the fish species native to the river systems of Carinthia.
