What is now a sloping heathland between the Zilvermeerlaan and the Postelsesteenweg, used to be the municipal garbage dump. In 1985, after another solution was found for the household waste, the landfill was covered with thick layers of sand and clay. In the meantime, nature has once again gained the upper hand and a beautiful piece of Kempen heathland has been realized.
