The Catholic parish church of St. Peter and Paul, consecrated in 1877, is an important example of neo-Gothic church architecture in the region and the first church building by the architect Max Meckel, who later became famous and successful throughout southwest Germany.
The most important work of art in the church is the Mary altar from around 1500, a widely acclaimed piece of sculpture from the Franconian region. The bas-relief commemorating the victims of the World Wars is by the Kronberg sculptor Hedwig Ostertag. 🚴
