From the Danish mainland over a large 2-lane dam you can reach the island of Rømø by car. On the island, simply drive straight ahead over a crossroads and (free of charge) directly to the water of the North Sea! A dream!
A very spacious beach, after all the widest in Europe. Long walks on the beach are worthwhile!

You can actually drive up the mudflats to the water and also along the beach by car - but you should be careful in any case and do not get stuck. The ground is very soft in places and you can't get out without outside help. Especially when the tide comes in, dramatic scenes take place. The "locals" know this from unfortunate experience and then help. Those affected are always very grateful and like to show their appreciation. The beach, the dunes and the mudflats are a real experience and very impressive. An absolute top recommendation.
