The Rhine ferry Cologne-Langel / Hitdorf is in operation throughout the year, except on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. It operates at the following times:01. April to 30. September:

Sundays and public holidays 11:00 to 18:30The first trip of the day starts in Leverkusen-Hitdorf, where the last ride ends at the end of the day. During operating hours, the ferry operates every fifteen minutes according to schedule, and runs continuously during rush hour traffic. The crossing takes about five minutes.The ferry service may be temporarily suspended for safety reasons (eg during flood, storm or fog) as well as for technical reasons (eg during inspections).

It is a good idea to take a break on either side of the ferry.
