The Königsbach stream flows into the northeastern part of the Jacobiweiher pond. Here, you cross the Königsbach stream over a small wooden bridge.

It is a river in Hesse. It is an approximately 13.7 km long, orographically left-bank, geographically southern tributary of the Main River. The stream's headwaters are near the town of Dreieich in the Offenbach district, and its mouth is within the city of Frankfurt am Main. The damming of the Königsbach in the Frankfurt City Forest in the 1930s created Frankfurt's largest body of still water, the Jacobiweiher. From its headwaters to the Frankfurt city limits north of it, the stream is called Luderbach; the lower reaches of the stream within the Frankfurt city limits are officially called Königsbach.

The stream was first documented in 1128 as "Kunigsbach." In the document, the Roman-German King Lothar III granted the bailiff Konrad von Hagen seven manas of land between the village of Schwanheim, south of the Main, and the Königsbach. The name Königsbach refers to the Dreieich game reserve, also known as "Königswald" or "Königsforst," through whose northern part the stream flows. Other names with the same reference include Königsbrünnchen, Königswiese, and Königswiesenweg.

The Königsbach has the name “Luderbach” in its “upper reaches”.
