The photos only show the access from Chora Sfakion to the lowest part of the Ilingas Gorge (actually Φαράγγι Κάβης / Kavi Gorge). The uphill crossing of the gorge is very demanding and usually fails shortly before the destination Mourí (an abandoned village) on a rock face that can only be passed by the initiated. However, after almost 2 km from the gorge, you can get off on the left on a gravel road towards Anopolis or at the same point on the right to Mouri - from where it takes over 2 hours on gravel roads to civilization (Askifou).

The climb in 32°C was really difficult for me.

Enough water is essential here.

I named this gorge "Death Valley". There are about a dozen goat carcasses scattered around here.

Crazy.

The climbing sections are easy to master and, in my opinion, correspond to A/B.
