Granted, not an original penned by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle; But the author Franziska Franke (among other things a member of the "Murderous Sisters") let the ingenious master detective survive his fatal fall at the Reichenbach Falls in Switzerland (in a duel with Professor Moriarty). Now he has taken on the pseudonym Sven Sigerson and (in the role of Norwegian explorer) of course continues to solve criminal cases, including in the book "Sherlock Holmes and the Elm Monster", which tells the old legend of a giant fish living there in the maar / - kite (whatever) picks up.

Nice place in the center of Ulmen, with benches to rest and gastronomy to strengthen yourself. From here it is only a few minutes to the Ulmener Maar
