Orxhausen has had its own chapel for centuries. In 1784 the "old" chapel was mentioned in the Corpus Bonorum. The dilapidated chapel was renovated from around 1815, but burned down on June 14, 1818 caused by a lightning strike.
In 1822 the new chapel with its roof turret was officially approved. In the decades that followed, it was repeatedly restored due to moisture and wall damage.
In a solemn service on May 2, 2004, the chapel was given the name "Christ Chapel".
Unfortunately the positioning is wrong. The chapel is in place.
