The CHIARAMONTANO Castle of Montechiaro
The first act in the history of Palma (only in 1865 the city will be called Palma di Montechiaro) is the construction of the Chiaramontano Castle (1353), which stands out along the coast halfway between Punta Bianca and the mouth of the Palma river, by of Federico Prefoglio who soon passed to the Chiaramonte, from which it took its name.

The Cala Vincenzina beach stretches out in the central-southern part of Sicily, about 5-6 kilometers southwest of the center of Palma di Montechiaro. It is a splendid sandy cove set under the cliff, perhaps one of the most pleasant of the many coves that dot the coast between Marina di Palma and Punta Bianca. Uncontaminated and completely free, Cala Vincenzina is bathed by a beautiful sea of many shades.
