The Świderskie Nature Reserve is a fauna reserve created in 1998, located in the municipalities of Józefów, Karczew, Otwock and Konstancin Jeziorna. It covers an area of 572.28 ha. It includes numerous islands, shallows and sandbanks at the mouth of the Świder river to the Vistula. It is a nesting and feeding place for rare bird species and a refuge for animals related to the aquatic environment. 163 plant species and 175 vertebrate species, including 140 bird species, were found on the reserve. The reserve belongs to the national ecological network ECONET-POLSKA.
