On February 24, 1904, the 2.4-kilometer-long meter-gauge tram line was put into operation. The route led from the train station to the Lubstbrücke, which trams were not allowed to cross due to insufficient load-bearing capacity. A trip cost 10 pfennigs. On June 8, 1938, the Guben tram was shut down and replaced by omnibuses.
