In the middle of Neubüsten, on the picturesque market square ...

The parish and former pilgrimage church of the Virgin Mary Immaculate Conception was probably first built in the second half of the 13th century. The striking Romanesque tower is still a testimony from this time.

The church preserves miracle images of the "Neubeurer miracles".

In 1498 there was the so-called little bell miracle: This happened on the evening of St. Martyr Sebastian, when the churches and the bell tower were locked in "Neybeiern" at that time, the little bell in the tower rang. Many market residents woke up and searched the church tower, but none could be found. Even today, the "mercy bell" is rung once a year on the 4th Sunday of Lent for conversion and devotion.

In 1512 there was another miracle, the light miracle: on Good Friday night, when the church was locked again, around midnight, a large, unusual light was seen in the church. Now the market dwellers thought that the church was burning, but when you unlocked the door, the light had disappeared.

The "Neubeurer Miracles" were later examined and confirmed by the Archbishop's Ordinariate in Salzburg.
