Öjendorfer Park is Hamburg's third-largest park and offers many opportunities.

When there's snow in winter, you can use a small hill for skiing and sledding, and it's perfect for biking all year round.

At the center of the park lies Öjendorfer Lake. It's twice the size of the Inner Alster Lake and has two swimming areas, one in the north and one in the south. There's even a small sandy beach and a large lawn. At the southern end of the lake, there's a designated non-swimmer area. In the northern part of the lake, there's a wooded island with a bird sanctuary; swimming is not permitted there.

The lake features a kiosk with seating, barbecue areas, and a playground. Restrooms, showers, and free parking are also available.

Swimming is permitted from mid-May to mid-September.

Lake Öjendorf is located in Öjendorf Park in eastern Hamburg. The lake was created between 1925 and 1929 by excavating sand and gravel to raise the Horner Marsch. After the end of World War II, rubble from the destroyed districts of eastern Hamburg was placed in the pit. Since 1954, Lake Öjendorf has served as a stormwater retention basin. The northern part of the lake is designated a bird sanctuary.

On the north and southeastern shores are two bathing areas, each with a small sandy beach and an extensive lawn. Numerous recreational facilities, including playgrounds, a miniature golf course, barbecue areas, kiosks, and snack bars, are located near the bathing areas. There is a separate non-swimmer area.

A great mountain biking area surrounds the lake. It's fun to bike here.

There is a great kiosk at the lake. There you can buy snacks and drinks. You can also rent a barbecue area here and the grille even.
Otherwise there is always something going on in the park.
