The peace memorial is located on Bleiche Island and is barrier-free accessible via a pedestrian bridge.
The focus of the artistic intervention is a glass sculpture. A gate, framed on both sides with blue glass, cuts through the formerly closed temple building and is a symbol for the realignment of the place, as a place of peace, calm and quiet. The peace monument appears as an abstract, white building. The historical gravity gives way to openness and confidence in a peaceful future. The bright and friendly materials, embedded in a blooming orchard of cherries, characterize the new atmosphere.
