The castle is absolutely worth a visit. From up here you have a great view over the Altmühltal and Eichstätt. You can also stroll through the beautiful bastion garden and visit the Jura Museum.

I also think that the Willibaldburg Eichstätt is always worth a detour or a trip,
at the moment only the museum with a tower ascent (entrance fee) and a free visit to the bastion garden is possible. Access to the castle is currently only possible via the Mondscheinweg. Hopefully the renovations will end soon.
