The Eichenbach 14 Nothelfer Chapel was built from 1937 to 1941. Since 1977, a relief from 1626 has formed the center of a chapel wall, in whose niches the wooden figures of the fourteen helpers in need stand. In earlier times they were called for assistance when hardships and dangers threatened the people. Four other saints - St. Elisabeth, St. Hedwig, St. Hubertus and St. Michael - adorn the stained glass windows of the chapel, which was extensively renovated in 2002 and 2003. Since then, the chapel has had an electric bell and there is seating on the leveled chapel forecourt. Source: aw-wiki.de/index.php/14-Nothelfer-Kapelle_Eichenbach

The chapel looks quite inconspicuous from the outside. Inside, however, there are wooden figures of the 14 helpers and a wooden relief from 1626 from a wayside shrine. In 2002 and 2003 extensive renovation work was carried out on the chapel and its forecourt.

There is a nice opportunity to take a break with a table and bench right next to the Nothelferkapelle, as well as a parking lot for hikers. This makes it an ideal place for a break or as a starting point for a hiking tour. The chapel has beautifully designed windows. If the chapel is locked, you can look in through peepholes in the entrance.

A beautiful chapel that invites you to linger and turn in-yourself! Very well maintained and an information board in front of the entrance tells the story.

The hiking car park is a good starting point.

The list of the so-called “14 emergency helpers” is not uniform everywhere, as regional peculiarities are sometimes taken into account. As a rule, the following patron saints are named (the text is from a notice board from Memmingen, which was created in the Baroque period, the original spelling - which is partly foreign to us - has been retained):
St. Blasius - intercedes for sore throats
St. Georgius - should be called upon in times of war
St. Erasmus - for intestinal and abdominal pain
St. Vitus - a great friend of children's hearts
St. Pantaleon - patron of doctors, powerful with God
St. Christopher - he protects powerfully against hail and bad weather
St. Dionysus - is called upon in times of major pain
St. Cyriacus - can help those possessed by the devil
St. Achatius - he helps Christian soldiers quickly
St. Eustachius - averts sorrow in marriage
St. Ägidius - helps to recognize secret sins
St. Margaretha - where the devil's cunning finds an entrance
St. Katharina - when wisdom lacking in studies
St. Barbara - received the sackcloth in death

                    Beautiful chapel, unfortunately not accessible.
