The entire city wall ring of Seßlach, which dates back to the Middle Ages, is still preserved, even if many details have been changed over the centuries. Most impressive, however, is that in Seßlach there are no buildings in front of the wall in most places, as was once common in all cities. The medieval appearance of the city, which can be walked around along the wall, has been preserved unusually originally. The medieval fortification structure is one of the most beautiful city walls in Germany

Seßlach is really a pretty town, especially the town center is very worth seeing.
As always on weekends and public holidays, the city gate is closed to car traffic. Only pedestrians and cyclists can then enter the old town of Seßlach.
