Beautiful vantage point with great charisma. Was probably already used in the early history as a cult place.
Was also inhabited at times. According to a legend, a nobleman and horse fell to their deaths, pursued by peasants.

The Christian stone a mystical place. Unfortunately, where the name of the stone is derived from does not really exist, there are legends about it, it also means that it was inhabited. Or derives from the syllable Chris which means sand

The Christenstein is just outside of Heilgersdorf. Immediately at the end of the village it goes uphill until you reach the Christenstein after approx. 500 m. The Christenstein is a massive boulder from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of Heilgersdorf and the surrounding area. The location also offers itself for an extensive rest. There is a lot going on here in summer and especially on weekends.

The Jewish cemetery of Memmelsdorf in Lower Franconia, a district of the municipality Untermerzbach, lies north of the village and has an area of 33.40 Ar. Today there are about a hundred gravestones (Mazewot) left.

Another Untermerzbacher Jewish cemetery is the Jewish cemetery in Untermerzbach.

The Christenstein Myhten and Sagen can be heard and read about this place. But none has ever been proven whether true or false I don't want to say. Explore it yourself an energy place is there too. Belief doesn't count in knowing ......

And thank you to all of those who write in the booklet. I'll take it home at the end of the year. So be diligent 😉

A very nice, somewhat mystical place, just right to linger a while. There is even a hiking book that you can write into. I always think it's nice, thanks to Mandy & Cooper 😉
