The Duron Valley is wide and green. Going up towards the Sasso Piatto Refuge, you can first come across a coniferous forest, then a malga surrounded by large, luxuriant meadows. A real charm!

The Rifugio Micheluzzi is the ideal starting point for easy hikes in the Duron Valley. I hiked hiking trail no. 532 to the Mahlknecht Joch and then hiking trail no. 4 to the Tierser Alpl, which is at 2440 m altitude. The last stretch to the Tierser Alpl is very steep and requires a good level of fitness. There are very nice views over the Duron Valley the entire way. Approximately 4 hours including a break should be calculated for the walking time.
