The Walser Hammerspitze can be reached from the mountain station of the Kanzelwandbahn in a relatively short but demanding tour over a ridge path. The path turns right where the ascent to the summit to the Kanzelwand starts on the left. A slightly easier path, but with more altitude difference, turns right shortly after the mountain station, then left before the Adlerhorst hut, through a hollow below the Kanzelwand. If you climb the Walser Hammerspitze from Riezlern, this second path is no longer. Both paths are only suitable for experienced mountaineers who are used to such terrain.
