The Corno Nero can be ascended starting from the Lys pass. The greatest difficulty is to overcome the terminal snowy summit.
It is located along the crest that descends from the Ludwigshöhe towards the Vincent Pyramid and Giordani Point. Such ridges separate the upper Lys valley from the upper Valsesia.
It is a rocky spur with a very characteristic shape. Only on the northern slope can you reach almost the top through a snowy tongue. On the top there is a statue of the Virgin Mary.

A magnificent peak that tops the mountain here. Extremely steep and easier to climb than descend.
