A gentle transition to something completely different: the Butterfly Garden. Located in the Binnenhof, it's a beautiful flower garden designed by Piet Oudolf (known for The High Line in New York and the 9/11 memorial garden). It's a residents' initiative, not only designed with the residents but also managed by them. Blooming flowers everywhere, various plants, and countless butterflies and insects are doing their thing. There's a ferry at the edge, but we opted not to cross today, giving us all the time to enjoy the scent, color, and gentle breeze.
