Atlantikwall Raversyde

WALK THROUGH 2 WORLD WARSAtlantikwall Raversyde is one of the best preserved parts of the German defense line, with more than sixty bunkers, open and underground passages, observation posts and gun emplacements, built during the Second World War (Battery Saltzwedel-neu). You will also find the best preserved German coastal battery from the First World War, Battery Aachen. This unique bunker complex from WWI is located in a sloping dune area with a view of the sea and was awarded a European Heritage Award in 2022.The photo exhibition 'Atlantic Wall' by Stephan Vanfleteren is part of the permanent collection on the site.
