As a reminder of the great fire of 1738 and as protection against further adversity was 1742-46 the column of St. Florian, the patron saint of firefighters, masons and miners. The funds for the construction were won by a collection in the Saaz citizenship. At the top of the column, the god-father figure - sitting on the globe - can be seen.
