The Römerschanze is located directly at the port of Lindau. It is a park that is slightly elevated and from which you have a great view over the port of Lindau on Lake Constance. In addition to the many boats and ships, you also have a great view of the harbor entrance and the Bavarian lion and the beautiful lighthouse.

The Roman rampart offers wonderful photo opportunities.History:The fortifications that once stood here were called "Burg" or "Auf Burg". That doesn't really tell you much, after all the Roman rampart was its own island - one of three in Lindau's Lake Constance, alongside the main island and the Hintere Insel. It was only through embankments in the middle of the 19th century that these were connected. The name "Römerschanze" caught on at the beginning of the century - when Lindau began to change fundamentally.Source: lindau.de/addresses/roemerschanze
